Impact Dance Complex is a full dance studio in West Plains, Missouri, offering programs for students ages two to adult. We believe in the impact of solid arts and athletics programs in the lives of our youth, and in the impact those youth will have in our community!

Our Teachers
Our instructors come from many different backgrounds and training programs, helping us provide your dancer with a well-rounded and diverse dance experience!
Advanced student teachers provide extra eyes and assistance in younger classes for better technique and amplified learning!
Our instructors’ passion for dance, combined with their enthusiasm for sharing what they know with our students, has helped us create the warm studio environment we refer to as our Dance Family!
More Than Just Dance Classes
Dance class is a great place to work out some extra energy, develop better coordination, and maybe even meet some new friends. With engaging classes, optional recitals or productions twice a year, and fun themes that transform the studio each semester, there’s plenty of excitement if you and your student(s) just join us for our classes!

Ms. Tempest got her one-of-a-kind Impact Dance Springfield Cardinals tee signed, making it even more legendary! 
Moana visited our July Dance Campers, teaching them how to dance with silk veils and catch the spirit of the ocean in a jar! 
Ariel visited our July Dance Campers and brought her friend, Olaf, to announce our winter Production, “The Frozen Queen”! 
Pocahontas met Dance Campers under the boughs of Grandmother Willow! 
“Don’t Let Your Ice Cream Melt While Counting Somebody Else’s Sprinkles.” Students add sprinkles of gratitude to the wall! 
Ms. Tempest wants to let every student who passes through her studio know that there is power and beauty in them just the way they are! 
“Fall into Kindness.” Students filled the wall with leaves filled out with kind deeds they performed for others! 
Our Competition Team toured Court Square Park while in Memphis, TN for BravO! National Dance & Talent Competition. 
Our Competition Team littles really scooped up the trophies at Stage One Dance Competition in Branson, MO! 
Miss Ari was recognized for outstanding Hip Hop at KAR Dance Convention in St. Louis, MO in October 2022! 
The studio participated in Breast Cancer Awareness with a series of pink and educational moments for our students. 
Ms. Kenzie, who teaches HIIT on Thursdays, emphasized the connection between healthy choices our students make today and better health in their future! 
We supported a local bakery who donated a portion of funds they received from the sales of pink cupcakes to our hospital’s purchase of a mobile mammography unit. 
Many of our dancers are Zizzers or future Zizzers! We participate annually in the Zizzer Homecoming parade!

We expect our Competition Team to make their impact in the community as well as on the dance stage. These team shirts spread a positive message everywhere they went!

Impact Dance Complex
Formerly Attitude Dance and Fitness Studio, Impact Dance Complex was reestablished in July of 2022 under the direction of Tempest McDonald. Ms. McDonald guides the studio into the future with a decade of dance studio experience behind her, evolving the dream of Leah Johnson, the original founder of Attitude Dance and Fitness Studio, with a host of dedicated instructors and parents who believe in the positive IMPACT the arts can make in the lives of our youth, and the positive IMPACT our youth will then have on our community.
